For someone who has been dreaming of working from home, SaleHoo can provide you with some excellent tools to help jump-start a resale business. Whether you plan to work from your home (as many successful SaleHoo customers have) or grow your business into a more traditional retail setting, SaleHoo offers you with information regarding over 5300 wholesalers, distributors, drop-shippers, and liquidators. In addition, your membership provides you with access to regular updates, so you’ll never be stuck holding an outdated list of companies.

Also important is the community aspect that SaleHoo offers through their members-only website. With an online review system, you will be able to thoroughly research any company you plan to trade with using the reviews and advice of sellers and buyers like yourself who have been there, done that. In addition, you will be able to access the online forum, where you can ask a variety of questions and receive answers from other SaleHoo members.

One of the downsides to the SaleHoo set-up is that you will have to spend some money to get started. Your membership to the SaleHoo website is a one-time fee of $67, and in order to begin reselling items, you’ll have to set up accounts with specific wholesalers. While this may require initial capital, you are unlikely to be successful at all in this market without a decent credit score.

At $67 a pop, SaleHoo is not the ultimate experience in wholesale websites, and it will not “teach” you how to make money in the resale market if you don’t already have some grounding in this area. While SaleHoo has received mixed reviews on a number of websites, the general consensus is that their website is a great way to connect with suppliers and network with other sellers, but be sure you know what you’re getting into before you start making purchases.
