A Walk into Abstracts Volume 2 by Sue St. John is a collection of abstract painting techniques and ideas from 27 accomplished abstract artists and 45 pieces of abstract art work. These are different abstract artists and abstract paintings than in volume one. It is like being in their studio peering over their shoulder as they create another masterpiece. A Walk into Abstracts claims to be a practical guide where Sue St. John includes the work and “working process” of artists she likes. These working processes will help you learn abstract painting. Develop your own watercolor painting techniques or acrylic painting techniques and unique style from the clear information on methods, materials, and techniques used by professional artists. A Walk into Abstracts comes with a 60 day return policy.

A Walk Into Abstracts Review

Ever look at a great piece of abstract art and wonder to yourself: Now how on earth did they manage to do that? Now you can find out exactly how they did manage to do it with Sue St. John's "A Walk Into Abstracts" Program. Featuring over 100 pieces of art from 58 recognized artists, “A Walk Into Abstracts” takes you inside the mind of the artist as they explain in their own words, their own creative process. Find out where their ideas come from, how they achieve certain effects, what tools they use and everything else about their working process. With this wonderful resource, you also can find yourself on the path to create your very own masterpiece.

What you get for how much

The "Serious Artist Package" features “ A Walk Into Abstracts” Volume One eBook (369 pages) plus a DVD (4.5 hours) for $77. You can also purchase each of these separately for $37 and $47 dollars each respectively. If that is not enough for you, there is also "Walk into Abstracts" Volume Two available for an additional $27. This eBook is 200 pages and features an additional 48 works and 27 different artists. The price for this eBook and DVD is somewhat on the expensive side for this type of product.

What Others Think:

Checking into the various art forums to see if Sue St. John is really a respected artist, it turns out that she is somewhat known. She has a number of fans and her pictures have been shown in various art classes around the country. Looking into what other people think about the Walk Into Abstracts Package, it seems like the results are somewhat mixed. While the product is a decent seller and receives an overall good rating it also has a pretty high return rate. Those that like the product, love the plethora of pictures and find it to be an important creative resource. They seem to appreciate all the tips and insights that the book and DVD reveal. Those who are not sold on the eBook seem to believe that it does not live up to its promise of actually showing someone how to actually be abstract. Others complain that the artists whose work is shown are not really that well known. Most other complaints seem to center around the poor quality of the DVD. While some people thought the DVD was okay, a lot more seem to think that it was poorly made and not a great educational tool at all.

Looking through the book myself, I find the pictures very inspirational even if they happen to come from lesser known artists. I also found the little artist stories that followed to be full of information. While the "working process" entries do a good job in describing what materials were used, I did find most of the prose to be a bit lacking in the creatively inspirational sense. Still, I think that this book could be a great resource for a beginning painter, especially the pictures and the description of the materials. Also, since these eBooks are backed with a Clickbank 60 day money back guarantee, checking them out is risk free.
