What you get for how much

The "Serious Artist Package" features “ A Walk Into Abstracts” Volume One eBook (369 pages) plus a DVD (4.5 hours) for $77. You can also purchase each of these separately for $37 (EBook) and $47 (DVD) each. If that is not enough for you, there is also "Walk into Abstracts" Volume Two available for an additional $27. This eBook is 200 pages and features an additional 48 works and 27 different artists. The price for this eBook and DVD is somewhat on the expensive side for this type of product.

What Others Think:

Checking into the various art forums to see if Sue St. John is really a respected artist, it turns out that she is somewhat known. She has a number fans and her pictures have be shown in various art classes around the country. Looking into what other people think about the Walk Into Abstracts Package, it seems like the results are somewhat mixed. While the product is a decent seller and receives an overall good rating it also has a pretty high return rate. Those that like the product, love the plethora of pictures and find it to be an important creative resource. They seem to appreciate all the tips and insights that the book and DVD reveal. Those who are not sold on the eBook seem to believe that it does not live up to its promise of showing someone how to actually be abstract. Other complain that the artists whose work is shown are not really that well known. Most other complaints seem to center around the poor quality of the DVD. While some people thought the DVD was okay, a lot more seem to think that it was poorly made and not a great educational tool at all.

Looking through the book myself, I find the pictures very inspirational even if they happen to come from lesser known artists. I also found the little artist stories that followed to be full of information. While the 'Working process" entries do a good job in describing what materials were used, I did find most of the prose to be a bit lacking in the creative and inspirational sense. Still, I think that this book could be a great resource for a beginning painter, especially the pictures and the description of the materials. Also, since these eBooks are backed with a Clickbank 60 day money back guarantee, checking them out is risk free.
