Although AlertSpy says all the right things on their website, it’s difficult to determine just how effective this product is. Most importantly, AlertSpy makes no mention of price, so we’re unsure if AlertSpy is available as a free download or if you might be expected to register your version of AlertSpy at some point. In addition, customer testimonials are brief and don’t provide sufficient information for us to judge a product like AlertSpy.

On a positive note, AlertSpy does offer a free download and scan of your PC, promising to protect your operating system from a variety of threats like spyware, adware, Trojans, dialers, worms, and more. In addition, AlertSpy offers phenomenal technical support in a variety of categories, including billing, downloading, and login support for members as well as guest support for those with questions prior to trying out the AlertSpy program.

Finally, AlertSpy’s FAQ section provides important definitions to help customers understand the importance of spyware and adware protection, rounding out a user-friendly website that makes AlertSpy appear to be a sound product. However, without more information regarding satisfied (or unsatisfied) customers or pricing, we find it difficult to recommend AlertSpy as a comprehensive spyware and adware program.

• Similar to Adware Deluxe, the AlertSpy website is monitored and operated by a company separate from the software developers, which also makes it difficult to determine the efficacy of this product.
