While Gov-Resources.com is not affiliated with the U.S. government, the company provides a search service on information that is a matter of public record, from birth and death certificates to criminal records, child support files, lien and property records, and Federal court Dockets. You can purchase access to “unlimited people searches” for one year ($19.99) or 5 years ($29.99), although an additional $9.95 is necessary in order to search all possible databases.

As privacy is a consideration where these kinds of searches are concerned, Gov-Resources.com promises that your search will be completely confidential. In addition, they caution that their information should not be used to screen job applicants or tenants, approve or deny credit, or commit any sort of harassing or criminal action. While it’s impossible to determine whether or not their customers will use the database for these purposes, there is at least a bit of security in knowing that as public records, everyone has access to this kind of information anyway – the key is that Gov-Resources has combined it all in one easy-to-find format.

Although the premium package (with the additional $9.95 to search all databases) is necessary to get the most out of Gov-Resources.com, there’s no question that if you regularly find yourself searching a variety of public records, this resource could save you a great deal of time and headache. And for anyone who is the least bit skeptical regarding those people you rub shoulders with on a daily basis, Gov-Resources has the ultimate answer for learning about people… just be sure you use this tool wisely!
