Learn and Master Ballroom Dance comes with 13 lesson DVD's, 6 music CD's, and a 75+ page manual. There is no shortage of material here. To start off, the lesson DVD's cover 6 different dances over 24 sessions. There are 3 smooth dances (Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango) and 3 rhythm dances (Rumba, Cha Cha, Swing). The DVD's are very detailed, easy to follow, show multiple camera angles, and display key points. The music CD's are filled with music that is timed to match specifically with the dances provided, and they are high quality up to date tracks as well (no cheesy bad music). The manual has at least 1-8 pictures on each page, with dance tips, assignments, terms and key ideas.

The instructors, Jaimee Simon and Mark Short narrate the lessons, explaining in great detail each of their exact actions. They build upon each lesson much like building blocks, so as long as you keep the lessons in order, you will learn a great deal about ballroom dancing, that is no doubt. During the lessons, the instructors will each discuss their own role as lead or follower in each dance. So the male/female roles in the dances are high-lighted for maximum ease of comprehension. We also found that Jaimee and Mark are natural teachers, they come across as confident, making us feel comfortable while we tried to follow their dance moves.
