Much like Jamorama, this is a great less expensive alternative to the better programs on the market. Next Level Guitar offers a massive beginner video lesson section, dedicated specifically on walking you through the entire learning process. But that is where the greatness halts, the intermediate and advanced sections aren't as thorough as we would have liked. It will teach you the fundamentals of playing guitar, and you will have fun in the process.

Next Level Guitar is basically a collection of text and video lessons taught by a few different musicians. It features over 100 different video lessons. The lessons also incorporate Bass guitar, which is something that is not usually found in a "normal" learn to play guitar lesson program. We loved how the teachers brought across the lessons with a slight humorous edge, it made them very entertaining and at the end of the video, we retained the lessons very well. Their unique style of training is relate-able, relevant, and easy to follow.

After checking out the user reviews on forums and websites, we found a few problems. The forum is not very active, the massive amount of lessons seem unorganized at times, and it gets kind of old learning to play guitar from their computer. However, you can purchase DVD sets of their lessons so you can play them on your TV, so the last problem is solved. One good thing we found is that the company has released tons of free content (videos) to sites such as Youtube, Metacafe, and on their own website as well. We recommend checking out their free lessons first to see if you like their teaching style. Overall, it is a solid program that will teach you the fundamentals of many different styles of guitar. They also offer a 60 day money back guarantee.

This could have been sooo much better. When the teacher makes a mistake instead of editing it out or starting over .

She says wait that was wrong,

So you as the student are getting erroneous information you must then disreguard.

It is so infuriating I came to find a place I could rant. I don't believe next level guitar has a comments section on it's web site.

Wonder why ?
