At $39, or $1 a lesson, this eBook seems like a pretty good deal. Especially when you take into consideration what lessons from an actual instructor cost. The material seems to cover all the basics of learning to “play by ear” with helpful diagrams and audio tracks included.

Scouring online to see if Duane Shinn is for real and not just someone who pasted together an eBook, I found that he is indeed a respected piano instructor. He has tons of free video lessons available online and even offers a free email newsletter.
