Repair Registry Pro is one of many programs designed to optimize your computer’s registry functions, through startup, device drivers, and your windows registry. The program, which provides a free download and scan via their website, is available for purchase if you are looking for something to repair your computer’s registry errors.

Because of the similarities in the names of repair software programs, we had difficulty finding online reviews of Repair Registry Pro (not to be confused with Registry Repair Pro). The reviews that we were able to find pointed out that Repair Registry Pro is geared toward a broad audience, which may cause it to fail at either end of the spectrum – novice or advanced. However, a number of other reviews found the “set and forget” function of Repair Registry Pro to be extremely easy to use, albeit a bit pricey.

For $39.95, you can access the full version of Repair Registry Pro, which allows you to examine your computer’s registry system, correct any errors related to device drivers, and disable programs that are automatically starting up that may be causing your computer to boot-up slowly. If you haven’t yet invested in a registry system, Repair Registry Pro appears to offer a solid variety of functions, with FAQ and help sections available via the Repair Registry Pro website.

Pros	• Repair Registry Pro detects and reports issues with a number of Windows Registry problems, including ensuring optimal system “stability, configuration, and performance.” • Repair Registry Pro also includes a function to clean device drivers, freeing up hard disk space and boosting system performance by removing device drivers that are no longer in use. • If you are frustrated by your computer’s slow start-up, Repair Registry Pro can help by removing unnecessary programs that your computer is automatically loading at startup. This allows your computer to boot up much more quickly and efficiently. • The Repair Registry Pro website provides a handful of FAQ that relate to downloading and accessing the program on your computer.
Cons	• Although the initial download and scan are free of charge, the demo version suggests that it will only repair 15 errors, so in order to completely repair your PC’s system, you have to purchase the product for $39.95, which provides you with use on one computer (not transferable). • Their end user agreement suggests that updates are free for the first 60 days, but Repair Registry Pro reserves the right to charge you for updates 60 days after you’ve downloaded the program. It is unclear whether this stipulation applies to the free software download or to your purchase of the repair program as well.
