For small-time websites, Site Submit Plus offers an important service to help analyze and market your site to 2500 search engines, including the most popular search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, and Netscape. In addition, Site Submit Plus offers a 3-month video course with the purchase of your membership, so hopefully you are able to learn a bit more about marketing your website on your own.

In addition to monthly search engine submissions, Site Submit Plus promises to submit your website to online directories and provide you with online service through their members-only section and tech support. However, there are a few downsides to the Site Submit Plus service. Their FAQ section points out that it can take up to 6-12 weeks for your website to be recognized by search engines, but their money-back guarantee only lasts the first 8 weeks. This can make it difficult to determine what results you might be able to see over the long-term from Site Submit Plus’s membership.

Additionally, once you’ve passed the 8-week trial period, you are unable to cancel your year’s subscription to Site Submit Plus (even if you choose their payment plan), although you are able to “pause” your account and resume search engine submissions at a later time. While the better deal is to pay upfront (which costs $149 for a 1-year membership), you are also able to make 4 monthly payments of $47, which means you will have your membership paid for long before your year is up.
