Developed by tattoo enthusiast Mark Hanes, Tattoo Me Now is one of the top tattoo design sites available on the web. While all tattoo website contain a design gallery, Tattoo Me Now is unique in that it provides a user forum and user-generated photos so that members of the tattoo community can comment and receive feedback on their own ideas and/or tattoos.

In addition, there are a variety of resources available via the Tattoo Me Now website, including informational videos, e-books, and audio files that help you learn about the tattoo process. Tattoo Me Now appears to have resources for someone who is just getting started with tattoos – as an artist or someone who simply enjoys tattoos – with a variety of ways for community participation.

For someone who is looking for a new, cutting-edge design, a website like Tattoo Me Now (despite the $37 fee) can provide long-term access to a number of tattoo artists, which isn’t usually possible in one place. Tattoo Me Now also provides users with a list of local tattoo artists, so once you find a design you’re happy with, you should also be able to locate a local tattoo parlor to hook you up. Most importantly, Tattoo Me Now allows tattoo artists to continue submitting designs, so their database should continue to increase in size the longer it is in existence.

• Artists are able to submit their “flash” designs, so the tattoo database continues to grow.
• The Design Gallery for Tattoo Me Now contains a variety of categories, from abstract and angel tattoos to religious, patriotic, fantasy, and symbol tattoos.
• Member galleries contain similar categories but a few also focus on specific areas for tattooing, like lower back.
• A variety of resources can also be accessed with your membership, including an audio book titled You and Your Tattoo and an e-book titled Got Ink?
• Tattoo-related videos are available with content related to education, humor, conventions, documentaries, TV shows, and more. You are also welcome to comment in the discussion forum, where Tattoo Me Now promises you will meet “like-minded people.”
• You can also search for a local tattoo parlor through Tattoo Me Now’s directory search function.
• When you sign up as a member of Tattoo Me Now, you pay a one-time fee of $37, which provides you with lifetime access to their database and website as well as updates.

Cons

• We were unable to determine the cost of membership to Tattoo Me Now without at least entering our name and e-mail address.
• Although you are able to sign up for life, Tattoo Me Now’s price of $37 is a bit expensive.
