The price for Ted's Woodworking plans is $67, which is a bit pricey for a downloadable product. The bonus software, videos and guides do take a bit of the sting out of the price. For those who do not want to spend half a day downloading all these things from the website there is also an additional DVD available for $19.95.

Looking into the various woodworking forums and checking out the consumer watchdog sites, I found both good and bad things being said about Ted's Woodworking site. On the good side, the site is very popular, and does receive a number of rave reviews. Those that liked Ted's site thought that the bonus guides and the CAD software made it worth their while. Their only complaints were that there were just too many things to download and that it seemed to take forever to download them.

While a number of people seemed to praise this product, there seems to be just as many people who want to cry "Foul" on Ted. More than a few people have pointed out that many of the plans that are available on Ted's Woodworking site were actually ripped off from other sites. Also, while this product is a top seller, there are comments online that suggest it also has an above average return rate for a product of this type, meaning more than a few people were not totally satisfied with the product. To top it all off, Ted’s Woodworking also gets an unfavorable rating from the BBB (Better Business Bureau) for having too many consumer complaints logged against it that were never resolved. We are not in a position to make any judgments about a vendor's business ethics. However, in this case, if you want to return the product for a full refund, you should go through the company that processed your purchase, and not the vendor.

Looking at the site for myself, I found that Ted's Woodworking site was indeed filled with tons of plans, guides, software and even videos. I did not find the videos to be overly informative and the plans did seem to be copied from somewhere else. It also took a long time to download the product, but this is typical for sites like these. The CAD software just seemed to be a viewer and not a program you can actually use to make your own plans. While I would not go so far as to call this product a complete scam, I will say that buyers should beware. Ted's Woodworking is covered by the Clickbank guarantee, so if you do want to check it out, there is little risk. Just be sure to contact Clickbank directly for your money back.
